I am Mike Ziri, and I am proud to represent the citizens of District 1 on the Springfield Metropolitan Exposition and Auditorium Authority (SMEAA). SMEAA is the eleven-member board overseeing policy and operations at the Prairie Capital Convention Center.

As a board member, I am your voice at the convention center.  I am the only board member who voted to save jobs and increase public access to board meetings.

Since 2007, the convention center has been alive with activities and entertainment, acting as an economic engine for Springfield.  The SMEAA board must ensure that the convention center continue to be an active participant in the economic development of Springfield.  Now, as the board embarks on a $16 million modernization and renovation plan, I want to continue my advocacy on your behalf.

On April 5, please vote for Mike Ziri as District 1's SMEAA board member!  I truly appreciate your support.
